One of Metallica’s earliest recordings ever has surfaced. It’s a 1982 cover of Diamond Head’s “Sucking My Love” when Metallica’s line-up included Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine and Ron McGovney. According to PlanetRock.com, one Metallica expert called the tape “the rarest, and earliest, material ever to surface.” It was recorded in McGovney’s garage two months after the band formed and you can hear it now by searching YouTube for “Metallica Sucking My Love.”
